Delete Your Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Hynts account and the data associated with it. Hynts is developed and operated by Wholesome Studio LLC.
1. How to Request Deletion
To delete your Hynts account, send us an email from the address associated with your account:
- Email shailesh@wholesome.studio with the subject line "Hynts Account Deletion Request".
- Send it from the email address you use to sign in to Hynts. This is how we verify the request is genuinely yours. If you signed in with Google, use that Google account's address.
- Include your display name in the app, if you know it. This helps us locate the right account.
- We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will get a confirmation email once it is done.
If you played only as a guest and never signed in, no personal information was ever linked to your account. Uninstalling the app ends that session permanently, and the anonymous record is not tied to you.
2. What Gets Deleted
When we process your request, we permanently delete:
- Your authentication record, including your email address and any linked sign-in provider
- Your display name, avatar and profile settings
- Your game history, scores, streaks, ranks and achievement progress
- Any rooms, games or invitations you created
- Voice input is processed live to read your guess and is never stored, so there is nothing to delete
3. What We Keep, and For How Long
- Aggregated and anonymised statistics — retained indefinitely. These contain no identifiers and cannot be traced back to you (for example, "how often this puzzle was solved").
- Records we are legally required to retain, such as transaction and tax records for any purchase you made — retained for as long as the applicable law requires, typically up to 7 years.
- Encrypted backups — deleted data may persist in routine backups for up to 90 days before those backups expire and are overwritten.
4. Deleting Some Data Without Deleting Your Account
If you would rather clear your game history or reset your progress while keeping your account, say so in your email and we will do that instead. Deletion is permanent either way and cannot be undone.
