Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect your display name, email address, and authentication credentials. You may also sign in anonymously, in which case we generate a random display name and assign an anonymous user ID.
Game Data
We collect information about your gameplay, including game scores, guesses, round results, leaderboard rankings, game history, and in-game preferences. This data is used to provide the core game experience, track your progress, and populate leaderboards.
Device & Usage Information
We automatically collect certain technical information when you access the Service, including:
- Device type, operating system, and browser version
- IP address and approximate location (country/region level)
- App version and session duration
- Crash logs and performance diagnostics
- Referral source and pages viewed
Payment Information
If you subscribe to Hynts Pro, payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processors (Stripe for web, Apple App Store or Google Play Store for mobile). We do not store your full credit card number or payment credentials. We receive only transaction confirmations and subscription status.

We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Create and manage your account
- Process in-game actions, scoring, and leaderboard rankings
- Process subscriptions and payments

3. Third-Party Services

- Firebase (Google) — Authentication, database, analytics, cloud functions, crash reporting, and remote configuration
- AI Services — Hint generation and semantic analysis of guesses (your individual guesses are not stored permanently by our AI providers)
- Stripe — Payment processing for web subscriptions
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store — Mobile in-app purchases and subscription management

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following cases:
- Public game data — Your display name, scores, and leaderboard rankings are visible to other players

We retain your account data and game history for as long as your account is active. Anonymous user data may be retained indefinitely but is not linked to any personally identifiable information. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, though aggregated and anonymized game statistics may be retained.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), Firebase Security Rules for database access control, and server-side validation of all game actions. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Hynts is designed for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable age, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
